You gotta love this … I joke. I doubt you will even like it.
First, I’m all for capitalism, free enterprise, entrepreneurship … doing anything legal that you can to earn as much as you want.
That is the American Spirit and the other part is … if you are so richly blessed that you will help others … but it’s your money and you can do what you want with it.
Okay, enough economic/moral philosophy.
For the first time, most members of Congress are Millionaires.
The Center for Responsive Politics reports that 268 out of the 564.
At the top is a Republican and no one else is even close.
California Congressman Darrell Issa is worth $464,000,000. He is one of 3 Republicans on the top 10 List which means … drum roll while we do the math …. calculating, recalculating … 7 of the top 10 Millionaires in Congress are Democrats.
So much for Congress full of rich Republicans who don’t care about the poor.
The other two Republicans: Texas Congressman McCaul and Florida Congressman Buchanan.
