Conservatives, Republicans and others are quick to slap nasty labels on President Obama.

They can cite any number of issues from domestic to foreign concerns, and sometimes don’t even need an issue to start name calling.

This post proves the adage that it is not news when a dog bites a man.

BUT, when a man bites a dog … now, you have some news.

So here comes the president of a national group, and he calls President Obama: gutless.

That’s a very strong condemnation on any issue.

I’m sure when the statement was made … Democrats ( before they knew who used that demeaning term ) started gathering the cavalry to attack.

The source said President Obama was “gutless” and delivered a “low blow” to American workers.

The source was Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers International Union of American (LUNA).

The spark that ignited this fire was the State Department announcement that it would not make a decision on the Keystone pipeline … until … AFTER the mid-term elections in November.

The White House insists politics has nothing to do with the delay … citing more environmental studies are needed.

In effect, the White House said that LUNA and other Democrats who think the timing is political … are stupid.

I love it.

O’Sullivan went on to say: “It’s not the oil that’s dirty, it’s the politics.”

He continued, “Once again, the administration is making a political calculation instead of doing what’s right for the country. This certainly is no example of profiles in courage. It’s clear the administration needs to grow a set of antlers, or perhaps take a lesson from Popeye and eat some spinach.”

That sure sounds like something from a Tea Party member … not a national labor organization.

But that’s not all.

Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu who wants the Keystone pipeline to carry crude oil from Canada to refineries in her state — called President Obama’s delay: “irresponsible, unnecessary, and an unacceptable.”

Wow!

Wonder if the White House will turn to the Obama playbook?

You know the one that is used against anyone who opposes or even questions this President.

If so, Democrat Senator Landrieu, O’Sullivan and like thinking Democrats and labor groups … are racist.

Well, there’s another man biting a dog … or the pot calling the kettle …
